Clinical Information

Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) performed using the CHOP (DDIT3) (12q13) Dual Color Rearrangement Probe and the FUS (16p11) Dual Color Rearrangement Probe. These probes are useful for detection of rearrangements of the CHOP gene region associated with myxoid/round cell liposarcoma and the FUS gene region associated with low-grade fibromyxoid sarcoma (LGFMS).

Performing Laboratory

Corewell Health Advanced Technology Laboratory, Grand Rapids, MI

Methodology

Performed by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH).
